This yard includes a very steep slope, which suffered major erosion after a rainstorm. Considerable repair was needed, along with a redesigned retaining system. Here's a part of the final garden at the side of the slope |

and plants. The job was nearly done at this point. The above garden
nook is at the far edge of this photo, and includes a nice sitting
area amongst the trees. |

Almost done- these short retaining walls are provided
with drainage, and will handle any forseeable runoff. The terraces
also provide safe access to the landscape and sprinklers for maintenance. |
